Blinds & Awnings for Helderfontein Estate
One of the newest estates on Chartwell's doorstep — brand-new builds mean every window is a blank page.
Contemporary architecture, built from scratch
Helderfontein Estate is one of the newer developments just north of Fourways, close to Chartwell, and almost everything going up there right now is a full-house build. That's a genuinely different starting point to fitting an established home — instead of retrofitting around existing brackets and finishes, we're specifying every window from the architect's plans, often before the glass is even in.
Contemporary steel-frame glazing, double-volume living spaces and estate greenbelt views are the norm here, and that scale is exactly where motorisation earns its keep — wired 220V motors go in during the electrical first-fix, so there's no visible cabling or retrofit compromise later.
Being a new-build estate also means aesthetics-committee approval is typically part of the design process from day one, which we're used to working alongside on a free in-home measure or a site visit during the build.
Building on Helderfontein? Concealed recesses and motor cabling have to be decided before the ceiling closes. Nothing in the Way, our free Chartwell Light Journal, covers the sun angles over this river valley, what a double-volume west wall does in the afternoon, and the five things we'd still need to check on site.

Products we fit most often here
- Concealed, ceiling-recessed blinds — an architect favourite on new builds
- Motorised blinds & automation, wired in at the electrical first-fix
- External venetian blinds for contemporary facades with hard sun exposure
- Roller blinds throughout the rest of a full-house fit-out
